Einrúm - Headband - KBG 10 Pattern
Headband Icelandic twisted doughnut (kleina).
A quick and simple headband which can be made in einrúm E-yarn as well as einrúm L yarn. Use either a single thread of E-yarn or two threads of L-yarn.
The headband is worked flat. The longer end of the headband is pulled through a slit in the middle, as one would do when making Icelandic twisted doughnuts (kleinur). The headband is fastened with a single snap-button at the back and can thus be worn without disturbing the hairstyle.
YARN:
The pattern is made for both E-yarn and L-yarn.
E-yarn: 50 g
L-yarn: 100 g
The pictured kleina is knitted in E-yarn colour 1015 Líparít
and L-yarn colour 2008 Gabbró.
NEEDLES:
E-yarn: 3,5 mm needles (US4)
L-yarn: 7 mm needles (US10,75)
